South Dublin County Council is delighted that the IN CONTEXT 4 - IN OUR TIME website has been announced as winner of the Local Government Award in the Ireland eGovernment Awards 2017. The award was presented to Mayor Guss O’Connell by Minister Simon Harris.

The Ireland eGovernment Awards recognise the innovators and forward thinkers who are pioneering changes and helping deliver better online services for Irish citizens today. Judge Declan Tuite said of the IN CONTEXT 4 website, “Along with making a truly useful site, it’s actually simply quite beautiful.”

The website for South Dublin County Council’s Public Art Programme 2016-2019, under the Per Cent for Art scheme, was designed by Pixel Design to attract radical, ground-breaking and extraordinary artistic proposals across all contemporary art forms including: architecture, circus, dance, film, literature, music, opera, performing arts, theatre and visual arts/visual culture through an open call. The selected public art projects feature on the website and updates keep the public up to date on the development of each project and how to get involved throughout the programme.
