Rock to the Top is inspired by the story of Oisín i dTír na n-Óg, who single-handedly threw a boulder up the valley at Glenasmole. Join the challenge of recreating this mythic feat by working together to carry a granite boulder (in pieces) from Tallaght, to make a cairn at the foot of Kippure

The Stop Shopping and Head for the Hills Hike is on Saturday 16 December 2017, meeting at the boulder at Rua Red, Tallaght at 10.15am and returning back by 5pm.

Rock to the Top is commissioned under IN CONTEXT 4 - IN OUR TIME, South Dublin County Council’s Public Art Programme for 2016-2019 under the Per Cent for Art Scheme.
