Come and celebrate the end of Rock to the Top on the mountain! On 23 June the last few rocks from the Tallaght Boulder will be placed on the community cairn at the foot of Kippure mountain. Since mid-Summer last year 400 volunteers have carried pieces of the granite boulder on foot from Tallaght in all weathers, inspired by the story of Oisín i dTír na n-Óg, who single-handed threw a boulder up the valley at Glenasmole.

We’ll celebrate with a communal BBQ, music for the Celtic seasons by the Rithim Orchestra of traditional musicians, and a performance of the specially created ‘Oisín In Search of the Fianna’ by Aisteoirí Thamhlachta.
