The Central Field is a temporary Live Land Artwork by artist duo Yvonne McGuinness and Rhona Byrne, running until the end of May 2018. The site is open every Sunday from 11.30am - 4.30pm until Sunday 27 May 2018. All are welcome to attend the upcoming gatherings.

Procession with Adamstown school children
A procession involving 5th and 6th class pupils from Adamstown Educate Together who will walk from their school through the streets of Adamstown to The Central Field site where they will take part in a ceremony and land grabbing exercise.

A discussion around the use of informal land, how it is seen/unseen and how these sites can be temporarily activated and used by the communities that live around them.

The Central Field Community Day & Live Goodbye
Organised by the Adamstown community with the help of The Central Field project this will be a day of coming together for the whole community of Adamstown based on the model of a street party with a live art element.

Getting there

The Central Field is located between Adamstown Park and Adamstown Ave and opposite the train station. The main entrance is on Adamstown Park. Click here for Google Maps link.

Train
Irish Rail trains leave from Heuston Station. Journey time to Adamstown takes approx 20mins.

Bus
The 25b runs from city centre to Adamstown.
