Watch the performance of 'Yesterday and Tomorrow Meet Today', the second in the series of five Work Songs. The song is a collaboration between visual artist Fiona Dowling, composer George Higgs and members of Platform One Writers, a group of dedicated writers and artists who have come together to create an exciting space in which to pool their talents.

Composed by George Higgs, the work-song was directly inspired by observations, musical experiments and writing exercises with the group and features poems by group members Tony Bardon, Eileen Casey, Doreen Duffy, Brigid Flynn, Eoin Flynn, Larry Scully and Tony Shields.

'Yesterday and Tomorrow Meet Today' was performed in Rua Red Performance Space, Tallaght, on 20 June 2018 by George Higgs, Fiona Dowling, Andrew Ilsley, Tony Bardon, Eileen Casey, Doreen Duffy, Larry Scully and Tony Shields.

Work Songs is commissioned under IN CONTEXT 4 - IN OUR TIME, South Dublin County Council’s Public Art Programme for 2016-2019 under the Per Cent for Art Scheme.
