Watch the performance of The Hospital Workers' Song, the fourth in a series of Work Songs for South Dublin County. The song is a collaboration between visual artist Fiona Dowling, composer George Higgs and Tallaght University Hospital Choir (TUH Choir) and The National Centre for Arts and Health.

The Hospital Workers' Song is composed by George Higgs, directed by Michael Fay and sung by the TUH Choir, which is made up of hospital staff from many areas including nursing staff, radiography, lab staff, mental health services, arts, reception, administrators and retired staff members. The Hospital Worker’s Song was directly inspired by interviews and conversations between Fiona Dowling and the choir members.

Work Songs is a musical portrait of South County Dublin's economic profile.

Work Songs is commissioned under IN CONTEXT 4 - IN OUR TIME, South Dublin County Council’s Public Art Programme for 2016-2019 under the Per Cent for Art Scheme.
