Visual artist Fiona Dowling and composer George Higgs collaborated with workers from a cross-section of workplaces, both industrial and rural, to create Work Songs, a musical portrait of South County Dublin's economic profile.


ROCK TO THE TOP / Ciarán Taylor

Inspired by the story of Oisín i dTír na n-Óg, who single-handedly lifted a boulder up the mountains near Tallaght, Ciarán Taylor’s Rock to the Top invited the people of South Dublin to take up the challenge of recreating this mythic feat by working together.

IN CONTEXT 4 - IN OUR TIME is South Dublin County Council’s Public Art Programme 2016-2019 under the Per Cent for Art scheme.

The IN CONTEXT 4 - IN OUR TIME Open Call aimed to attract radical, ground-breaking and extraordinary artistic proposals across all contemporary art forms including: architecture, circus, dance, film, literature, music, opera, performing arts, theatre and visual arts/visual culture.
