A theatrical celebration of the people and landscape of South Dublin County.

Clamour and Roar’s chorus is made up of people from all across South Dublin County. People with something to say. People with stories to tell. Through spoken word and song, ‘Ghost Hares’ tells the extraordinary story of ordinary lives. Lives full of love and hope, lives that spread out across the streets and parks of Clondalkin, Springfield, Old Bawn, Ballycullen, Kingswood, Kilnamanagh, Citywest and Lucan. Fleeting moments of beautiful humanity that light up the majestic shadows of the timeless Dublin Mountains.

‘Ghost Hares’ is written and directed by Veronica Coburn, Civic Theatre Associate Artist for Theatre, Participation and Play. ‘Ghost Hares’ also features original music, song and sound by Debra Salem and a project visual design by Kilian Waters of Arcade Film.

‘Ghost Hares’ was commissioned under IN CONTEXT 4 – IN OUR TIME, South Dublin County Council’s Public Art Programme for 2016 – 2019 under the Per Cent for Art Scheme. ‘Ghost Hares’ is supported by The Civic Theatre and RUA RED.
